This led him to create a first rooster of 90 cm high, then a second one of more than 3m high. It was his largest model at that time. He made it from drawings of comic strip photographs. The haughty look of the animal inspired him. Presentation of the artist and his approach: Born in 1954, Gari holds a CAP in boiler making. The artist from Angers is a metal sculptor, working with iron and its derivatives. He creates creations with animal and vegetable forms and experiments with the effects of materials. Description : CHANTEFER (carpenter sheet of metal and tacks) After his first sculpting of a bird, using merely welded Allen keys, Gari tried to find a style, and gave personal shapes to his works. That is how he did his first cockerel (90 cm high), and a second one later on (more than 3 metres high). This was his highest model at that time, made from drawings inspired by pictures of comics. He is very much inspired by the animal proud character. Presentation of the artist and his/her approach : Gari, born in 1954, holds a sheet metalwork National Vocational Qualification.
