The Tourist Information Office in Saint-Alban-sur-Limagnole is pleased to welcome the exhibition "Peut-être le silence" by Jean-Paul VIGNE from Wednesday September 4 to Thursday October 31. Jean-Paul VIGNE explores the relationship between salvaged objects and fiction, using a variety of techniques (harvesting, collage, sculpture, painting, engraving...) and creating a character named Gustave Built, an industrialist who lived in the future. The exhibition thus presents a permanent oscillation between today and our future, strangely conjugated with the present. We come across Van Gogh claiming he couldn?t draw, Gustave resisting in the Vercors, Sisyphus? boulder finally at the top of the mountain, collectors of worthless objects... Three card games revive the classics, while collages are inspired by an old Manufrance catalog. The artist plays with time, objects and mechanisms to draw us into this exhibition entitled "Peut-être le silence" ("Perhaps silence") To meet the artist, we invite you to attend the exhibition opening on Tuesday September 3 at 6pm, where an aperitif will be served.
