Atelier lecture et théâtre

This workshop is an opportunity to discover the meaning and content of a text, based on its music and rhythm. Reading the words of a text is not enough to make it captivating, rich in interpretation - in other words, to bring it to life - you need to know how to tell a story. Reading a text is akin to storytelling, and must appeal to the listener?s imagination and intelligence. The storyteller is just as important as the text being read: it is the storyteller who conveys the words and gives them meaning, flavor and color. It's the reader who makes a text interesting or not. So we'll be working on De La Fontaine's fables, especially the best-known ones, to reinvent them by rediscovering them, to restore them as new. These timeless, universal stories are the ideal way to approach the reading of a text with joy and mischief, with young and old alike.
