FESTIVAL DE FROVILLE " LA RESUREZZIONE DE HANDEL" - LE CONCERT DE LA LOGE

At the age of twenty-two, the young Handel had his sights set on glory, and arrived in Rome after stops in Hamburg and Florence. Here, despite the fact that operas were forbidden by papal decree, the composer brought his entire theater into the oratorio, a genre particularly prized by the nobility and the great cardinals of the Eternal City.
