FESTIVAL DE FROVILLE - "A ROOM OF MIRRORS" - I GEMELLI

Date:

The 17th century in Italy was the golden age of the tenor voice. The embodiment of music in the guise of Orpheus or Apollo, the tenor embodies all facets of divine and human expression, from the naive shepherd to the mighty god, from the valiant warrior to the amorous lover, at a time when the musician wrote, composed, played and sang his own works. The program features tenor duets by lesser-known composers of the Seicento, rare gems from operas or collections of songs and madrigals. The voices of Emiliano Gonzalez Toro and Zachary Wilder are ideally matched.
