CIRCUIT VÉLO DE L'ESELBAHN

A cyclosportive loop towards the sector of La Petite-Pierre and the Vosges du Nord Regional Nature Park. From the center of the village of Lutzelbourg, go to Phalsbourg by the road to Trois-Maisons, the rue des Calvaires and the rue du Terrain d'exercices. Cross the center of Phalsbourg, the Place d'Armes and the Porte d'Allemagne. Continue in the direction of the Saint-Antoine college via the rue de Bitche. Take the Chemin des Dames, cross the freeway bridge and follow the rural road that crosses the LGV Est and reaches the pilgrimage site of Bonne Fontaine. Take the forest road of Bonne-Fontaine via the Hutte de Fouquet to the Rd104g. At this level you have 2 options: either you take the Rd104g which is quite frequented by cars or you take the grassy forest path (GR532 marked with yellow rectangles) which goes along the road on the right until Oberhof. From Oberhof start a long ascent on the forest road of Pottaschplatz and then continue on the asphalt forest road until you reach the Rd7. At the crossroads, turn left and reach the historic heart of the village of La Petite-Pierre and its castle. Follow the Rd9 towards Petersbach for 3 km before turning left onto the Weyerkopf forest road to the village of Eschbourg. Join the Rd122 and follow it in the direction of Graufthal then Hangviller before turning left at the level of the place called Langmattermuehle to take the green way of the Eselbahn until Berling. The route continues on local roads through the villages of Vescheim, Wintersbourg, Fleisheim and Lixheim. In Lixheim take the Rd46, pass under the railroad and turn left towards Brouviller. Leave Brouviller by the rue du stade and continue on the rural road until you reach Saint-Jean-Kourtzerode via the rue de Bourscheid. Take the bridge over the highway, continue to Waltembourg, take the road to Arzviller which becomes the forest road of Schwangen to Arzviller. Follow the Rd98 in the direction of Hofmuhl before branching off via the greenway of the Vallée des Eclusiers and the towpath to Lutzelbourg.
